Hmm... that could be a bit different than magic I suppose. Magic is usually powered by a few different varying factors. One of them being spirituality, the energy of the world around you, the spirits, and through your own inner power. The latter of the ones I just mentioned sounds a bit more like what you may be referring to. It's remarkable that your world was able to identify the exact source of it though, as scholars in my world have been researching it for decades with little success. I wonder if the library here may have more on the subject...
