[Video/Action - Backdated to Christmas Morning] Magical Cake

[ilyana]

[The journal shows Ilyana waking out of bed in her jammies, rubbing her eyes to a snowy Christmas morning. A present is at the foot of her bed, and when she sees what it is, her eyes widen in delight.]

C-Cake!

[Before her is a giant, multi-layered Christmas cake, that goes all the way up to the ceiling of her room on the 6th floor of housing building 3, in the apartment she shares with Chun-Li. Unable to resit the hunger inside of her and the sheer joy of having a giant cake just for her on Christmas day, she runs a dainty finger along the side to taste a bit of the frosting. She absolutely shivers in delight at the sweet taste of that layer of the cake's frosting, only to blink in surprise when she sees the frosting on the cake replace itself.]

W-What?

[Experimentally she takes a handful of the cake into her mouth, discovering that it was the exact flavor she was hoping it would be. Then to her unparalleled delight, the cake repairs itself again, as if the handful she took out was never missing.]

Magical cake?!

[Once more she decides to experiment with it, not even realizing she's being recorded on the journal. She dives head first into the cake, tunneling her way through it to the other side, and eating her way out, just because she's always wanted to do that without consequences. She pokes her head out of the other side of the cake, laughing in glee as she slowly wriggles out of the cake. As if on cue, the cake reassembles itself, and spits out any traces of dirt she might have left behind.

Ilyana finally spots the journal, as she's covered head to toe in hundreds of different flavors of cakes. She smiles sheepishly at the Journal, and just holds out a hand covered in frosting.]

Anybody want some magic cake? I think I'm going to be here all day with it once I'm showered off.

(ooc: Ilyana has been given a magical Christmas cake that is any flavor the eater wishes it to be. Chocolate cake, vanilla cake, sponge cake, strawberry shortcake, pumpkin cake, carrot cake, cheese cake, fish cake... anything. It automatically repairs itself, so has an unlimited supply. What's the catch? Its magic only works on Christmas day, and at the stroke of 12 it all goes up into thin air. Anyone is welcome to come have some of her cake, as she's feeling pretty generous now that she has an unlimited supply. Ever wanted to have your cake and eat it too? NOW YOU CAN!  Can take place before or after Ilyana's shower.)

[She gives him a bit of a look since she's still covered head to toe in cake, and the cake behind her is unscathed. Yet, why not indulge him?]

Okay... watch closely now.

[She takes another handful of cake, munching on it contently. Sure enough, in a few moments the cake reforms, good as new.]

This has to be one of the greatest Christmas presents ever.

From what I can tell, there's hundreds of flavors! It seems like the flavor of the cake depends on what flavor you feel like eating the most when you eat it! It's one of the greatest creations of magic I've ever seen!

I... I don't actually know! I got it this morning, but I think it's from Santa!

[Spock is in bed, blind, and curiously listening to his journal....]

What exactly is 'magical' cake?

It's a cake that regrows itself whenever you eat it! And it's every flavor I've ever imagined a cake could be, depending on my mood! It's like... it changes on a whim!

[She's SO excited by her magical Christmas cake]

That is... rather fascinating. Where did you acquire it? [Spock... did not know if he should ask for a piece. He did not eat sweets that often... but a magical cake? That probably shouldn't be passed up.]

I believe that it was gifted to me... by the entity known as... Santa Claus?

[Entity? Was Spock's way of speaking beginning to rub off on her?]

[Well... now she does look a little concerned. She had started eating away at it without even thinking what kind of consequences it might have.]

... Seaweed? I... guess there might be? I didn't know seaweed flavor was popular in cakes.

How can cake be magical? Is it the best tasting cake ever? And did you get it for Christmas? [ she's curious, and, please, beware that this thread will have many a rihanna reference! ]

Well... how much do you know about magic? From what I've seen... whenever you cut a piece off, it replaces itself shortly afterwards.

[She tilts her journal to demonstrate, and pulls off a piece with her fingers. Sure enough, the cake seems to reform good as new with the piece still in her fingers.]

And... as to the question of is it the best tasting cake?

[She eats the piece in her hands, and then shivers in delighted contentment.]

I think it is! It seems that... it's whatever flavor its eater desires it to be the most. Even if you don't necessarily have any thing in mind, it seems like it will supply something according to your personal tastes. I don't know if it works for anybody who eats it but... that's how it's been for me. I found it at the foot of my bed this morning, with a simple tag saying it was from Santa... so I guess it was for Christmas?
