[Video/Action - Backdated to Christmas Morning] Magical Cake
[The journal shows Ilyana waking out of bed in her jammies, rubbing her eyes to a snowy Christmas morning. A present is at the foot of her bed, and when she sees what it is, her eyes widen in delight.]
C-Cake!
[Before her is a giant, multi-layered Christmas cake, that goes all the way up to the ceiling of her room on the 6th floor of housing building 3, in the apartment she shares with Chun-Li. Unable to resit the hunger inside of her and the sheer joy of having a giant cake just for her on Christmas day, she runs a dainty finger along the side to taste a bit of the frosting. She absolutely shivers in delight at the sweet taste of that layer of the cake's frosting, only to blink in surprise when she sees the frosting on the cake replace itself.]
W-What?
[Experimentally she takes a handful of the cake into her mouth, discovering that it was the exact flavor she was hoping it would be. Then to her unparalleled delight, the cake repairs itself again, as if the handful she took out was never missing.]
Magical cake?!
[Once more she decides to experiment with it, not even realizing she's being recorded on the journal. She dives head first into the cake, tunneling her way through it to the other side, and eating her way out, just because she's always wanted to do that without consequences. She pokes her head out of the other side of the cake, laughing in glee as she slowly wriggles out of the cake. As if on cue, the cake reassembles itself, and spits out any traces of dirt she might have left behind.
Ilyana finally spots the journal, as she's covered head to toe in hundreds of different flavors of cakes. She smiles sheepishly at the Journal, and just holds out a hand covered in frosting.]
Anybody want some magic cake? I think I'm going to be here all day with it once I'm showered off.
(ooc: Ilyana has been given a magical Christmas cake that is any flavor the eater wishes it to be. Chocolate cake, vanilla cake, sponge cake, strawberry shortcake, pumpkin cake, carrot cake, cheese cake, fish cake... anything. It automatically repairs itself, so has an unlimited supply. What's the catch? Its magic only works on Christmas day, and at the stroke of 12 it all goes up into thin air. Anyone is welcome to come have some of her cake, as she's feeling pretty generous now that she has an unlimited supply. Ever wanted to have your cake and eat it too? NOW YOU CAN! Can take place before or after Ilyana's shower.)

Thank you Spock, it is nice to make your acquaintance as well. Um... You have a formal way of speaking Mr. Spock... are you perhaps a knight?
no subject
[Spock can't help but give a small smile at that question...]
I am a Vulcan.
no subject
A Vulcan? What... if I might ask... is a Vulcan?
no subject
[Spock's voice sounds bemused....] However, Vulcans are a race of beings that have devoted themselves to logic and to the search for knowledge for the betterment of the universe.

Your race reminds me a little bit of the heron Laguz in some ways... except that they devoted themselves to harmony, order, and balance. I suppose then as a race devoted to logic, puzzles and the like must be... an interesting exorcise for you?
no subject
Your comparison is apt, though it would seem that Vulcans and the heron Laguz have more in common then that. To live logically is to live harmoniously with the universe... to find order and to be balanced in every aspect.
Logic is not just puzzles... [Spock would have given her an amused look if they were conversing in person.] What of your own world... will you tell me of it?
no subject
Hehe... I know logic isn't just puzzles! That doesn't mean that you wouldn't be especially good at solving them though, right?
[That request seems to give her pause.]
Oh dear... of course I can tell you, but there's an entire world to speak of. What things would you like to know?
no subject
Perhaps we can start with your... favourite aspects? [Good job Spock, you finally asked someone what's their 'favourite' of something...]
no subject
[Well... it's Ilyana :| She likes her food.]
Though I'm not sure that's terribly helpful.
no subject
Negative, food is very important and relative to the composition of a populace.
Is the...food what you miss most about your home?

[She looks off into the distance as if she might see them standing there if she thought about them hard enough. Then, she just shakes her head.]
Perhaps though I should start off by saying that my world has two dominant sentient species, the Beorc who are also known as humans, and the Laguz. The Laguz have the unique ability to change between two forms, one that more closely resembles a beorc, and one that is that of a great animal. Yet the beorc lacking in this innate ability were forced to adapt and create tools.

Which are you if I may ask?

Perhaps you would be amenable to meeting after I have regained my sight? I would greatly appreciate learning more about you and your people.

I will contact you at a later date Miss Ilyana. Peace and long life to you until next we meet.
